Hi! It's Jilly. While we were in Baltimore we wanted to go somewhere nice as a family for dinner. I was looking at restaurants near the Inner Harbor and squealed when I saw Fogo de Chão. It is a Brazilian Steakhouse, where they bring around meat to your table!
My hubby and I had our wedding luncheon at a Brazilian steakhouse almost twelve years ago, so I wanted my kids to experience it. I knew Fogo was the perfect place to go for our nice family dinner!
To start off you visit the salad bar, which is actually like a really nice, gourmet buffet that is always fully stocked. They even have hot items, like yummy Chilean sea bass with a hint of coconut. The salad bar also has a lot of really great meatless options, so don't be worried about that if you aren't a meat-eater.
When you're ready for the meat service to start you just flip over your little card to "green" and then the magic happens! Servers wander around the restaurant and bring you yummy, tender, fire-roasted meats. They have 16 different cuts of meat! Whaaaaat?!?! Seriously. Every single thing I put in my mouth was amazing and cooked perfectly.
And, the service was excellent. You don't have just one server assigned to your table. The whole team works together to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Drop your fork on the floor? (Yes.) Need more fried bananas? (Yes!) Just grab anyone in a blue shirt and they'll take care of it. At one point we had three servers at our table! Emma said, "Isn't it cool how they have people walking around bringing you stuff?!"
It is a beautiful restaurant and definitely worth the visit! They have locations all over the place- even in Brazil! We were excited to hear about the upcoming Portland location, since my hubby's from Portland. In the words of Michael, "This place is AWESOME!"
